HIGHLAND CREEK ANNUAL MEETING: Thursday, June 19, 6 p.m.
The Highland Creek Condominium Association’s Annual Meeting will take place Thursday, June 19, 6 p.m., at the clubhouse. (This will be a meeting only, no food.) Residents are encouraged to attend.
Voting will take place for the three open board positions. Three incumbent board members whose terms are expiring have volunteered to run again. If you are interested in running, please notify the chairman of the nominating committee by June 1 in order to have your name placed on the ballot. There will also be an opportunity for nominations to be made from the floor.
REMINDER OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENT
Please remember that if you arranged for your $130 special assessment to be done by ACH, it will be processed on May 28.
MONTHLY MORNING SOCIAL: Approximately, 25 residents enjoyed the Fourth Friday Morning Social on April 25. Scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit, pizza, pastries, and more were courtesy of board members and other residents. The next Fourth Friday Morning Social will be held May 23. Hope to see you there!
POOL OPENING: Saturday, May 24 : Weather permitting, the swimming pool and pool area will open on Saturday, May 24. Pool hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Pool rules are in section VII of your Handbook and will also be posted near the entrance of the pool area. Please be sure to review them. Residents are especially reminded that although you may bring up to four guests, you must remain in attendance with them.
POOL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Volunteers are welcome and needed to keep the pool clean and open for use this summer! We are required by the state to follow public pool guidelines which include testing 3 times daily
in addition to the testing provided by J&M Pools. Volunteers who clean the pool also save us at least $100 weekly, so please help as you are able. Although we received a good response to our emailed request, we could still
use some volunteers to act as substitutes to help cover the 15-week schedule of testing and maintenance. Thank you!
SUMMER KICKOFF POOL PARTY: Friday, May 30, 5:30 p.m. There will be a pool party on Friday, May 30, starting at 5:30 p.m. Hot dogs and water will be provided. Please bring any additional drinks you
may want and a side dish to share. Please sign up at the clubhouse by May 28.
CAUTION ON THE ROADS: With warmer weather, there will be more residents out walking. Safety is two-fold. Drivers need to be careful and observe speed limits and stop signs. Walkers need to be aware of surroundings, stay to the sides of the road, and look before crossing.
LADIES LUNCH BUNCH: Thursday, May 15, noon.
The Ladies Lunch Bunch will be meeting Thursday, May 15, at noon at the Fellows Riverside Garden, 123 McKinley Ave. Youngstown OH 44509. Lunch will be “on your own” at the Kravitz Cafe, which offers soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps, and wonderful baked goods!
Please sign up at the clubhouse by May 13. If you are interested in carpooling, we will meet at the clubhouse at 11:00 a.m. to caravan.
The gardens should be in full bloom! Wear comfortable shoes and plan for a relaxing afternoon enjoying the art, the lovely gift shop, and strolling the gardens! (At your leisure)
CLUBHOUSE RENTAL: The clubhouse is open for rentals. For 25 or fewer guests, the price to rent is $25. For 26-50 guests, the price is $50.
SAVE THE DATE—A “LET’S FIESTA” PARTY IS BEING PLANNED FOR JULY 26. DETAILS TO FOLLOW.
